This is a small plug for my law firm, Fort Law Group, PLLC, but I think you’ll find it helpful.
Whether you are 80 years old or 18, chances are there has been a point in your life when you could have benefited from having an attorney. In fact, practically everyone needs or could greatly benefit from the services of an attorney. You do not have to be a criminal, a business owner, or a millionaire to benefit from legal services and advice. Attorneys should add value to your life or business. Their advice should save you money or protect your existing money. The right attorney adds value and is not just another expense that can not be recouped. If this is the case, why doesn’t everyone have an attorney on speed dial?
Hiring an attorney is not easy. For one it may be intimidating or seem foreign to most people. In some cases, you may know what you need an attorney for and in others you may have no idea. Then there is the big unknown of how much it will cost! Common misconceptions do not help the problem, but people often wonder am I getting billed just to talk to my attorney? How much am I being billed per hour? How many hours will it take? It is almost as if you are on a never ending taxi ride where the meter keeps rising, but at an unbelievably high rate.
Believe it or not, we sympathize with your pain. Before we were lawyers, we were businessmen and women. We sat in your shoes and attempted to budget for legal expenses. We have families of our own who need estate planning, but we always believed it to be too expensive and only something that millionaires did. We have sat on boards of companies where legal decisions and cost were debated and argued over for hours.
While it is not the case in every situation, we believe that the billable hour that is so cherished by attorneys, but so dreaded by the clients, is a broken system. We believe our clients should know how much a particular service is going to cost them and what exactly they will be receiving for their hard earned money. We are in the process of developing and outlining legal services that we can offer to our clients for an affordable flat rate. No strings attached. No hidden billable hours. No ticking meter. Our flat rate services allow you to budget for legal services that may historically have been to expensive or you were too afraid to ask how much it would ultimately cost. Flat rate services cut out the mystery of the legal practice and allow more people to access services that historically have only been available those of means, whether it be financial or social.
Please reach out to us and let us know how we can better serve you. We are always developing new flat rate services that we can provide to our clients. Send us an e-mail at contact@FortLawGroup.com or give us a call at 502.509.3678. We would love to hear from you!
